Wow! In a blink of an eye, 5 years has passed. Next thing I know, I’m graduating next month.

Despite my busy schedule with work and school, throughout my 5 years in the crew, there has never been a moment where I wanted to call ‘quits’ and leave. It was the rovers who I got to work with and the support of all my advisors that drove me to appreciate and want to stay in the Crew. I can confidently say that because of the experiences and the friends that I have made, I wouldn’t be who I am today!

I feel very fortunate to have been able to take on many different roles in the Crew. In my first year, I was assigned to be the new rovers manager. This role allowed me to meet so many new rovers, whom some are still with us today! I also got the opportunity to on-board new rovers into our rover crew which has really helped me with my current position at work as the manager of customer service. Thereafter, I was appointed as the rover crew’s vice president. This experience further allowed me to bond and work closely with many other high potential youth to lead different community service projects and to increase awareness of scouting!

One of my most memorable experiences was being the project manager of the 2014 international service project to Mexico. Through this project, we had the opportunity to give back to our global scouting community, help those in need, and bond with and learn from the Mexican scouts. This was an experience that I will never forget.

Although I am graduating and will be termed “crispy”, I will still love to stick around and help out wherever possible. Who wouldn’t want to spend more time with the people you call friends, right? 😉
