After recovering from our New Years celebration, we finally moved to our base of operations to the camp site. We will be staying here for the remainder of our time in the Philippines. For the next week, we are stationed here for the final preparation and execution of our training program. The last two nights have involved late hour presentation meetings and practice. The site is in a less developed part of near Davao, is surrounded by barb wire and has 24 hour security. The crew’s entire focus now, after taking time to enjoy the culture and surroundings, is to provide a solid program. The nerves have not started to show yet, but many of us are feeling more pressure as our first training day draws nearer.
