Helping out with the Japan Earthquake Relief Fundraising Dinner

Some of our Rovers recently volunteered at a multi-agency fundraising dinner to help raise money for the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. The proceeds from the full house go to the Canadian Red Cross, and will assist the International Red Cross in delivering their much needed support on the ground in Japan.

Jumping in and helping out with registration and payments, two of our Rovers greeted the donors with beaming smiles and kept them flowing smoothly on into the dinner.

With the Rover motto of ‘Service’ in our hearts, it was an absolute must to help with this community event where possible. Our contribution was a small part of the evening, but meaningful to the overall sense of success. We were the first point of contact for donors once arriving at the banquet hall, and our professionalism in handling them set the tone for the night.

Congratulations to the organizers on a successful event, selling out the entire Riverside Banquet Hall, and for delivering much needed funds to the Canadian Red Cross!
