Our community does not have an opening or closing time. It does not open when it is Christmas time or during certain parts of the year. It is always in need of a helping hand.
On Saturday, January 25th, a group of rovers went to the Harbour Light Center of the Salvation Army to distribute food to patrons and to keep the area clean. We were able to see the different faces of our community and realize the importance and necessity of constant help throughout the year – not just Christmas.
Our rover crew intends to help our community as much as possible and we will definitely be volunteering at a soup kitchen again.
On behalf of the 180th Pacific Coast Scout Group, I would like to thank Harbour Light for allowing us to give back to the community. If you are interested in helping, please go to their website http://www.harbourlightbc.com for volunteering opportunities.
