Almost one year ago, our Rover Crew volunteered with a painting project at a senior care centre. Recently, this has been featured in Sherwin-William’s internal magazine, the company that one of our advisors – Calvin Cheng – works for!
The Sherwin-Williams Company was founded in 1866 by Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams. Sherwin-Williams is a global leader in the development, manufacture and sale of coatings and related products. Products are marketed under well-known brands such as Sherwin-Williams®, Dutch Boy®, Krylon®, Minwax® and Thompson’s® WaterSeal®, through over 4000 company-operated stores as well as through leading mass merchandisers, home centres, independent retailers, hardware stores, automotive retailers and industrial distributors. Annual sales have reached $7.8 billion in 2011, an increase of 9.6 percent over 2009, with businesses in 109 countries. The company now employs more than 32000 people.
Sherwin-Williams’ goal with this project:
To contribute to our local community by executing a community service project that helps a local non-profit organization and allows us to share our values with the general public.
