The centerpiece of our last conference was an activity where we retold memorable stories through a sequence of GIFs. For those that couldn’t attend our monthly conference, here are the results from each patrol, paired with a bit of dialogue that explains each image:
During the International Project to China in 2012, one of the more notable destinations was the children’s village that we visited in Xi’an, located in the Northwestern part of China.
Although the atmosphere of the children’s village was warm and lively, the interior was relatively undecorated. Children would gather in the central hall, only to gaze upon a massive blank wall.
On the fourth day of the expedition, our contingent journeyed to the children’s village with an overarching mission – to transform this barren wall into a gorgeous mural.
The contingent scheduled 2 days for this work to be completed. It was initially thought to be overly optimistic, especially when we could not physically visit the location while we were planning. Despite the heat, our group was able to finish ahead of schedule.
This project would undoubtedly add inspiration, and a touch of color to the children’s daily lives.
