Our International Service Project has come to an end, but our contingent cannot leave without thanking some special people in our hearts.
To the Mexican Rover Scouts for everything you have done for us to make us feel welcomed here in Puerto Vallarta. No one in our contingent knew that we would be able to find such a great group of people like you who embraced us into your Scouting family. It means a lot to see you make our stay as fun and meaningful as possible, and we will not forget all the great times we have had together – from bonfire to rally, from the International Altruism Festival to the gala.
We have made many amazing and touching friendships here in Puerto Vallarta, and to you – the Rovers – who welcomed us with their arms wide opened, thank you, thank you, thank you! Without you, we would not be able to do as much as we have done, and learn as much as we have learned. You made us feel like we are part of your family, and we are so fortunate to be able to call your country our second homes. Thank you for everything, and we cannot wait to see you again!
To Scouter Moy (President, Nayarit Province for the Scouts Association of Mexico), you were the one who gave us the opportunity to serve your Council along with your wife, Scouter Gabby. For that, we are forever grateful for the experience and memories that came with it. The kindness you have shown us throughout the trip is unmatched, and we are so lucky to have made such lasting memories during our time in Puerto Vallarta.
To Scouter Lorena (National Chief Scout of Mexico) and Scouter Victor Blake (President, Scouts Association of Mexico), we are so honoured to have been able to meet you during this trip. To have the National Chief Scout and the President of the Scouts Association of Mexico welcome us to their country’s Scouting Movement is a great honour bestowed upon our contingent that words cannot describe. We thank you for the support you have shown us as we went about doing service work in your country. The kindness you have shown us and the gratitude you have expressed is something that our contingent will remember for the rest of our lives. You are leading by example: showing that service to others is one of the most important thing that young leaders like us can do. We are so happy to be able to learn from you, and for that, we thank you for this great opportunity.
To the families of our contingent, we thank you from the bottom of the hearts for the love, care and patience you have placed on us as we prepared for this trip. We know it was a long process, and your support for our initiative did not go by unnoticed. This year, our trip happened to overlap Mother’s Day, but be assured that no one in our contingent forgot about their moms! We are all sorry that we couldn’t be there to celebrate with you this year, but know that the unconditional love you have placed on us is something we will never forget.
For all the endless love and support we have received from our families, thank you for everything.
And to you, our readers, our supporters and our cheerleaders. We set off on this trip knowing that it will be a special experience, and we made it our mandate to share as much as we can with everyone around the world. We received tremendous amounts of support from many people who follow the content we push to our website, Facebook and Twitter – from friends and family, and even to fellow airline passengers to fellow hotel stayers. We hope you enjoyed the stories we were pushing out to you, and we hope that our work will serve as an inspiration to always be of a helping hand to others. For your support and kindness in our cause, we thank you, because without you, this project would not have been as successful as it is today.

THANK YOU iProj Team! You’ve been truly a source of inspiration for all of us. So thoughtful of you to keep time off your busy days in Mexico to write down your stories and share it with us on a regular basis. We’re very grateful for that.
Also many thanks to the Mexican Rover Scouts too for showing their hospitality and kindness to their brothers and sisters coming from Canada.
Cheers
Al contrario, gracias a todos ustedes por venir y hacer ver a los Rovers de la Provincia Nayarit, que es posible. Un honor tenerlos por aca, se les extraña chicos..!!
