We just had a great kick-off dinner tonight with the Shilong government officials, Shilong Youth Wellness Association members, and several Hong Kong Scouts.

The celebration was a great way to meet our audience for the upcoming workshops. Now that we know they are youth leaders like ourselves, we aren’t as nervous anymore. Like the friends we made in Xi’an and Beijing, we hope we can make life-long friends in Shilong too!
When we got back from the restaurant we saw that the hotel had acknowledged our arrival. The direct translation of this is, “Warm welcome to the 180th Pacific Coast Scout Group”.
