The Road to "iProj" 2012 – Spotlight 1: Preparations

Preparations for International Project (“iProj”) 2012 to China are in full swing!  About 30 Rovers are in for an adventure in only 50 days.  With the days counting down, adrenaline runs through our veins as we finalize itinerary plans, rehearse our leadership training presentations, practice foot drills, and draft our plans for the children’s village (兒童村).  These are only a few tasks on our long to-do list and in the coming weeks we’ll make sure to keep you up to date on everything we are working on without giving away all the spoilers.  For now, we want to share some of the things we are currently up to.

Foot Drill Practice:

In the past few months, the iProj group has been learning new fancy footwork moves (a.k.a. “foot drill”) to impress the audiences we’ll meet in China. If you’ve ever had trouble coordinating your own hand with your own foot (for example in a sport or a dance) try coordinating with 30 others! No doubt, we are hard at work perfecting our teamwork at every meeting.

Most recently, Rovers and guests who attended the March Rover Scout Group meeting were in for a treat as the iProj contingent put on a mini performance to show off our foot drill skills. Scouter Leon Yuen led us as we marched on to pay our respects to Scouter John Chow as he saluted our group.
