Saturday, January 29th was an unforgettable day for the 180th Pacific Coast Scout Group. We are very pleased to announce that we invested 14 new Rovers into the Rover Scout Group: Abby Syyong, Anthony Lam, Bruce Nip, Chris Cheng, David Yuan, Edna Cheng, Eli Chan, Jon Tsang, Julie Hsu, Karina Lee, Mark Burge, Shirvin Lee, Victor Chan, and Wayroan Lin.
The Investiture Ceremony is a major milestone in each Rover’s journey. To become a full member of the 180th Pacific Coast Scout Group, each Rover must attend a once-in-a-life-time Investiture Ceremony. The sacred traditions of the investiture have been passed down from generation to generation of Rovers. Scout Groups around the world have been holding their own unique Investitures since the 1900s when the Rover Section was first founded by Baden Powell, the father of Scouting.
A huge congratulation goes out to all of our newest members. We wish you the best as you set forth on this journey and begin to navigate the rapids of your life.
Don’t forget your paddle!
