Hi everyone!
Today, we brought the Climate Change and Leave No Trace workshops to the AACCTS Center, a local community center sponsored by the Council Chairman, Atty. Wendel Avisado. Among the 50+ participants were the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines, students of Davao National High School and representatives of the local government. Our high-energy, interactive presentations were well-received by the enthusiastic audience. Here is a list of our success:
- At the end of the day, each youth group designed a one-month Climate Change program for their own peers, to be carried out in April 2010. I can’t wait to hear back from them about their successes!
- At least 5 teachers and government officials requested a copy of our Climate Change presentation, so that they can bring it to more locals!
- This was definitely the Green Team’s strongest performances. Everyone spoke with confidence and clarity and their own unique charm. I am so proud of you guys!
