• In the Winter of 2007, parts of Central China were hit with a tragic snowstorm, leaving their outdated water irrigation and fresh water supply systems severely damaged. With help of Hong Kong Scouts, a joint venture was formed to help these villagers re-establish some of their water systems.

On our inaugural International Service Project to China in the Summer of 2008, a contingent of Rover Scouts and Scouters went to Guizhou, one of the poorest provinces in China. We traveled there to help constructing a water well that provides clean drinking water to Guizhou and neighbouring villages. Our visit alone was able to raise enough awareness from the local government and private donours to make a continue our efforts even after we depart.
