¡Gracias! To Our Community Sponsors!

This post is part of a series on our upcoming International Service Project to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  You can read more about the project here: http://pccrovers.com/international-trips/mexico-2014/

It may sound cliché, but our Rover Scout Group could not complete our International Service Project to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico without the support of our beloved community sponsors. Our contingent is very grateful to have several major sponsors supporting our international trip: The Isa Mundo Foundation, WestJet, The Great Little Box Company and Sherwin-Williams Paints.

Isa Mundo

Isa Mundo translates to “One World”. Isa is Tagalog (Fillipino) for “one”, while Mundo is Spanish for “world”. The Foundation provides assistance and care to children and youth, environmental health and education projects identified by communities. The organization hopes that it can make a difference in bettering the lives of those less fortunate.

Their founder, Paul Lorilla, is a very passionate and dedicated individual, who drives initiatives all around the world.  Paul connected us with the Volcanes Primary School of Puerto Vallarta, and coordinated with the school to identify a project for our contingent to carry out during our International Project.

WestJet Airline Ltd. is a low-cost Canadian carrier that provides scheduled and charter air service to 85 destinations across Canada, the United States, Europe, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

WestJet will be providing us with 13 boxes and 650lbs. worth of space and weight on our flight. This allows us to carry the school supplies that we’ve gathered for the children of Volcanes Primary School, and to bring the painting equipment that we’ll be using at the Puerto Vallarta Scouts’ headquarters.

Great Little Box Company

The Great Little Box Company is an award-winning manufacturer and distributor of stock and custom packaging solutions. They specialize in corrugated boxes, custom displays, labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons, rigid boxes, and protective packaging.

The Great Little Box Company has graciously provided us with packaging solutions for all of the school supplies and painting equipment that we will be bringing with us to Mexico. This will ensure that all the school supplies are well protected, and get to the children without a scratch.

Sherwin-Williams Paints

Sherwin-Williams Paints is one of the largest producer of paints and coatings in the world.  Sherwin-Williams will be helping the contingent by providing us with painting supplies like brushes and rollers.  These tools will be essential for creating the murals and banners for the local Scouts and the students of Volcanes Primary School.

Flag Ceremony

Our flag ceremony, you can read more about that here, was graciously supported by Safeway, PriceSmart Foods, Nesters Market and Ganache Patisserie.  Thank you also to the Flag Ceremony sponsors.

Our sponsors’ generous support has enabled us to make a bigger impact, and will help to create a better world. We would also like to thank Debbie Sui of VIP Travel in New Westminster, B.C. for all of her help in arranging our travel and accommodations in Puerto Vallarta.  On behalf of the iProj Contingent, thank you very much!
