iProj Flag Ceremony

In the Scouting community, it is often a tradition to host a flag ceremony prior to an international scouting trip. On Saturday, May 5th, the 180th Pacific Coast Scout Group hosted a flag ceremony for their International Service Project of 2012 to China. The Honourable Alice Wong, MP for Richmond, Consul-General Madam Liu, and Consul Mr. Chen were in attendance to present the contingent with a Canadian flag, signifying the participants as representatives of Canada. With over 100 guests in attendance, the contingent demonstrated their superb marching abilities after months of diligence and training. Moreover, families, friends, and guests were able to use this as an opportunity to send off the members of the contingent.

We wish the best of luck to the contingent and will be waiting to hear about their adventures in China!
